Privacy Policy
How Lilidog handles the limited information it collects from readers, including cookies, analytics, contact form submissions and your legal rights.
Last updated: April 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how Lilidog (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses and protects personal information when you visit lilidog.org (the “Site”). We have written this policy to be as plain as possible. If anything is unclear, please reach out via our contact page.
Who we are
Lilidog is an independent dog care and training publication based in Austin, Texas, United States. The Site is owned and operated personally. Editorial and technical responsibility rests with the publisher listed on our About page.
What we collect
Lilidog is a simple editorial website. We do not require you to create an account, buy anything or provide personal information to read our articles. The only information we collect falls into three categories.
Information you give us. If you send a message through our contact form, we receive your name, email address, and whatever you choose to write. We keep these messages only for as long as we need to respond to you and any follow-up, then we delete them.
Information collected automatically. Our hosting infrastructure logs standard technical data for each visit: IP address, browser type, operating system, referring URL and timestamp. These logs are used to keep the Site running, diagnose technical issues and protect against abuse. They are rotated and deleted on a rolling basis.
Analytics. We may use privacy-respecting analytics to understand how readers find and use our articles. This data is aggregated and does not identify individuals. We do not run behavioural advertising trackers on the Site.
Cookies
Lilidog uses only the minimum cookies necessary for the Site to function. These include session cookies used by WordPress, our content management system, and cookies set by Cloudflare, our CDN and security provider. You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings at any time without affecting your ability to read our articles.
Third parties
The Site may embed third-party content, such as YouTube videos or images served from Google Fonts. These providers may set their own cookies or collect technical data when you interact with that content. We do not control what they collect. We encourage you to review their privacy policies if you are concerned.
Cloudflare acts as our CDN and routes all traffic to the Site. Cloudflare receives your IP address and browser information in order to deliver pages and protect against attacks. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy for details of how it handles this data.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights over the personal information we hold about you. These can include the right to access your data, correct it, delete it, object to certain uses, or request that we stop processing it altogether. To exercise any of these rights, contact us with your request and we will respond within 30 days. We do not charge for legitimate privacy requests.
Children
Lilidog is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has submitted information through our contact form, please let us know and we will delete it immediately.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the law or in how we operate. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent version. Material changes will be summarised here when they occur.
