Lilidog is a small, independent publication. Sarah personally reads every message, but she is also a working trainer with a full client caseload, so a few things will help her get back to you quickly.

If your question is about something covered in one of our guides, please skim the article first. We answer the most common reader questions directly in the FAQ sections at the bottom of each piece. If you are writing about a specific behavior or health situation with your own dog, please include: your dog’s age, breed or breed mix, how long you have had the dog, when the issue began, and what you have already tried. The more context we have, the more useful our reply will be.

Important: Lilidog cannot diagnose medical conditions or provide emergency advice remotely. If you think your dog is sick or hurt, please contact your veterinarian or the nearest emergency animal hospital immediately. For poisoning or toxin exposure, the ASPCA Animal Poison Control Center is reachable 24 hours a day at (888) 426-4435.

What we handle by email

We are happy to hear from you about most things, including: reader questions about training, behavior, health or nutrition advice in our published articles; corrections if you spot an error or outdated reference; feedback on tools or interactive elements; requests from journalists, broadcasters or researchers who need an expert source on canine behavior; collaboration proposals from veterinarians, shelters or other force-free trainers; and general feedback on the site itself.

We do not do paid placements, sponsored posts, sponsored reviews, link insertions, guest post exchanges or affiliate partnerships initiated by cold outreach. Those messages will not receive a reply. We also do not publish user-submitted articles.

Typical response time

Sarah replies to reader messages in batches, usually once or twice a week. If you have not heard back after ten business days, check your spam folder, then feel free to resend. Longer, more detailed questions naturally take longer to answer properly, and we would rather give you a thoughtful reply than a rushed one.
